Program Goals

We encourage participants to engage in moderate physical activity (What is considered moderate physical activity? ) for each week of the 12-week program.

In order to be eligible for the random prize drawings at the end of the program, participants must be active for a minimum 8 of the 12 weeks.

There are five goal options:

Engage in moderate physical activity for 30 minutes/day for 4 days/week (physical activity need not be continuous on each of the 4 days, but the minimum requirement is 3, 10-minute sessions to equal 30 minutes for each of the 4 days).
Engage in moderate physical activity for 30 minutes/day for 5 days/week(physical activity need not be continuous on each of the 5 days, but the minimum requirement is 3, 10-minute sessions to equal 30 minutes for each of the 5 days).
Engage in moderate physical activity for 45 minutes/day for 5 days/week(three, 10-minute sessions and a 15-minute session each to equal 45-minutes for each of the 5 days. Or, three, 15-minute sessions each to equal 45-minutes for each of the 5 days).
Engage in moderate physical activity for 60 minutes/day for 5 days/week(physical activity need not be continuous on each of the 5 days, but the minimum requirement is 6, 10-minute sessions ((or four 15-minute sessions, or three 10-minute sessions plus two 15-minute sessions for example) to equal 60 minutes for each of the 5 days.) Engage in moderate physical activity for 60 minutes/day for 7 days/week(physical activity need not be continuous on each of the 7 days, but the minimum requirement is 6, 10-minute sessions ((or four 15-minute sessions, or three 10-minute sessions plus two 15-minute sessions for example) to equal 60 minutes for each of the 7 days).
At any time during the program participants will have the ability to change their original goal selection. For example, let's say an individual selected the 30 minutes/day, 4 day/week goal at the time of registration. A few weeks into the program this individual has actually been engaging in physical activity 5 days/week at the 30 minutes/day goal. He/she can simply edit their profile and change their goal selection. It's that easy! The same holds true for any other goal selection and change.

We recognize that many changes occur throughout this move and improve process and we encourage individuals to re-evaluate where they are with their goals and make any necessary adjustments. The ultimate goal is to be physically active regardless of the actual goal selection.
