Frequency

How often you engage in physical activity is called frequency.

Adults (18-64 years of age)
The Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans recommends that adults engage in 30 minutes of moderate intensity aerobic activity on five days or more for health benefits.

Children (6-17 years of age)
The Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans recommends that children engage in 60 minutes or more of physical activity each day. This should include either moderate intensity or vigorous intensity aerobic activity each day for health benefits.

Older Adults (65 years of age or older)
The Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans recommends that older adults engage in 30 minutes of moderate intensity aerobic activity on five days or more for health benefits.

Think about scheduling time on your calendar to make a commitment to physical activity on five or more days per week.
